Watson Wyatt BenTrack Flash Demo

THE CHALLENGE

Watson Wyatt had a number of Flash demos on their site each with a different layout and logic. They were looking to create a new interface that was cleanly designed, logical, and reusable. The demo had to be optimized for delivery on the web site while keeping all 30 screen shots at a high quality. Another requirement was a progressive scroll bar, with which the user could scrub back and forth through each slide.

THE SOLUTION

We approached the project with reusability in mind and created a framework in Flash that dynamically loads all of the ten slides as separate SWF files. The frame allows the user to click back and forth through the slides while keeping track of its place in the progress bar at the bottom of the screen. While the project is almost 4.5 MB in size the optimized frame is a slim 24k SWF file. The client was very pleased with the final product and has given us the go ahead for the next demo.
