THE CHALLENGE

Estco Medical came to us looking for a complete redesign of their CMS product. The catch was that everything had to be "skinable", meaning the look and feel of the pages could be changed quickly and easily to adapt to each client's brand.

THE SOLUTION

We worked with the programmers at Estco Medical to create two different designs based on the sample pages and content they had. Two designs were necesary to illustrate how two different looks could come from the same content. To address the "skinable" requirement we worked mainly with CSS and kept the number of images low. Fewer images meant faster load times, but it also meant that the images we created needed to work with a red background as well as a white one. All of the branding of the pages ( the logo and the color bars at the top) are controlled by the CSS which calls background images. This means that when Estco Medical swaped out the CSS, the logo, the color bars, and the backgound color all changed without having to change the code of the page.
